Pegstim 6 Mg Injection Overview -

 

Pegstim 6mg Injection contains the active ingredient Pegfilgrastim, a granulocyte colony-stimulating factor approved by the FDA to decrease the risk of developing febrile neutropenia (the occurrence of fever or infection with a low white blood cell count) and the duration of neutropenia (a low white blood cell count) when receiving bone marrow suppressive chemotherapy drugs. Additionally, it can increase survival rates in patients exposed to radiation therapy, which can cause severe and life-threatening damage to the bone marrow. By stimulating cell multiplication and function activation, this protein, synthesized through biotechnology in E. coli bacteria, acts on blood-forming cells. Similar to a natural protein (granulocyte-colony stimulating factor) produced by the body, Pegfilgrastim belongs to the cytokine family of proteins. White blood cells (WBCs) are crucial in fighting infection, and chemotherapy can decrease their numbers. With a decrease in WBCs, the body

 

Key Uses of Pegstim Mg - 

  • Decrease the chance of infection caused by low levels of white blood cells in patients with certain types of cancer (non-myeloid) receiving bonemarrow suppressing anti-cancer drugs.
