Cetuxa 100 Injection Overview -

Cetuxa 100mg Injection 20ml is an anticancer medicine that contains Cetuximab as its active ingredient. This drug belongs to a class of medications known as monoclonal antibodies. It is primarily used in the treatment of metastatic cancer of the large intestine, either on its own or in combination with other medications. Additionally, Cetuxa is prescribed for certain types of squamous cell carcinoma affecting the head and neck. Cancer occurs when cells grow and divide uncontrollably, forming tumors or spreading throughout the body.

This injection should be avoided if you have a known allergy to Cetuximab or any of the components in this medication. It is also not advised for use in children or adolescents. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you suffer from any existing heart, kidney, or lung conditions, as these may impact the safety of the medication. Individuals who are allergic to red meat, have a history of tick bites, or have tested positive for specific antibodies may be at a higher risk of experiencing severe allergic reactions to this treatment.

It's important to discuss with your doctor if you experience any vision-related symptoms such as blurred vision, redness in the eyes, excessive dryness, or eye pain, as these could be side effects needing prompt attention.
